1820 BrewWerks was founded by Kalida residents Andrew and Tessa Wehri along with Andrew's sister Amy Brinkman and her husband Butch, who purchased a historic 1903 building constructed by the Freemasons. The business opened in 2019, with its name honoring 1820, the year Putnam County, Ohio was founded.
