About Curbside Creations Food Truck

A mobile food truck specializing in Cajun-influenced seafood alongside American festival foods, serving the Richmond, Virginia area and beyond. Gator bites are a signature item, having been voted Best Fry Food by Style Weekly. The truck also caters events and appears at Richmond-area festivals throughout the year. Recognition includes Style Weekly's Richmond's Best Food Truck in 2018 and 2019, a Best Bacon Entree award at the Richmond Bacon Festival, Best Dessert at the Ashland Strawberry Fair, and being the first food truck inducted into the NBC 12 Restaurant Report Hall of Fame. The operation is ServSafe Certified and licensed as a Mobile Food Unit in Virginia.

The business traces back to Cool Concession's in the late 1990s, started by Billy Metzger and his partner Don after 35 years in retail. They began with a funnel cake trailer and a small fleet of Good Humor ice cream trucks, then expanded their food offerings and moved into catering events and festivals. After Don retired to Florida in 2012, the pair's final venture together became Curbside Creations Food Truck, which Billy continues to run with his crew.
