Mexican restaurant, Restaurant in Los Angeles, CA
A family-run Mexican cantina with two Westside locations, on Centinela and in Westchester, serving lunch and dinner. Tortillas are handmade and pressed fresh in view of diners, and the menu runs from the Supermex Burrito and carne asada to combination plates, ceviche, seafood dishes, and margaritas. The dining rooms mix old-school cantina character with a setup geared toward families and group gatherings.
Don Paco and Do\u00f1a Tonia came from Guadalajara, Mexico, and after working their way up from humble beginnings opened a corner restaurant on Centinela just south of Washington in 1973. The kitchen still uses recipes passed down through generations, including the tortilla method taught by Abuelita Mariquita. More than fifty years later the business remains 100% family-owned and has grown to two Westside locations.
