Persian cuisine served in a full-service dining room, with the kitchen drawing on culinary traditions spanning the historic reach of Persia from the Nile to northern India and the Caspian to the Persian Gulf. The restaurant frames its dining experience around Persian hospitality and the poetry of Rumi. Gift cards are available, and the Washington location sits in Mt. Vernon Triangle, one of several across Georgia, Texas, DC, and California.
Chef Ali Mesghali's interest in cooking began growing up in Esfahan, Iran and Los Angeles, and became a career after he moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where Rumi's Kitchen established a standard for Persian cuisine. The restaurant has since expanded beyond Atlanta to Washington DC, Houston, and a forthcoming Los Angeles location.
