[salon]718 was founded by Michaella Blissett-Williams, who started the business as a two-chair studio in the basement of her Brooklyn brownstone in the mid-2000s. Recognizing the need for an upscale hair salon serving the borough, she grew the concept into a multi-location brand now spanning Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, Prospect Heights, Carroll Gardens, Dumbo, and Fulton. A 15-year veteran of the hair industry, Blissett-Williams is a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses alumna and has participated in a co-mentoring program with Bloomberg.
