About Sew Chic Fabrics and Crafts

A Baltimore source for fabric ranging from cotton prints to specialty textiles, along with patterns, notions, yarn, accessories, craft kits, and handmade artisan goods. Sewing and craft instruction is a major part of the business, offered as in-person, virtual, group, and private classes and workshops for beginners through experienced sewists, quilters, and crafters. In-person classes are scheduled to begin at the Eubie Blake National Jazz Institute and Cultural Center in August 2026. The shop reports more than six years of teaching, 300-plus classes and workshops taught, and over 3,000 makers reached.

The shop was founded to offer a diverse selection of fabrics, yarn, notions, and hand-crafted items for makers at every skill level, built around the idea that creativity grows in an inclusive community where artisans learn from one another.
