Vegan restaurant, Asian fusion restaurant, Breakfast restaurant in Atlanta, GA
Stir House Atlanta is a downtown Atlanta restaurant built around 100% vegan and gluten-free stir fry, one of the first concepts of its kind in the Southeast. The menu centers on consciously crafted stir fries alongside rolls, soup, empanadas, and a curated selection of spirits, all designed to support diverse dietary needs without sacrificing flavor. The restaurant explains why it avoids gluten and animal products, citing health concerns such as the links between gluten and intestinal damage in people with sensitivities or Celiac Disease, and it leans on quality, non-GMO ingredients throughout its dishes. Located at 61 Broad Street NW in downtown Atlanta, Stir House offers both a sit-down dining experience and quick, on-the-go options for guests who want fast, healthy food without the wait. The restaurant also provides catering for groups of all sizes, making it an option for health-conscious event hosts across the city. Since opening, Stir House has been recognized locally as a notable addition to Atlanta's plant-based dining scene, with coverage highlighting it as the first vegan, gluten-free stir fry concept to open in the region. The space is positioned as more than a restaurant, with an emphasis on building community around healthy eating in the heart of downtown Atlanta, giving residents and visitors a place to enjoy flavorful, plant-forward meals prepared with care.
Stir House Atlanta was co-founded by Antonio Brown, a former Atlanta city councilman, along with restaurateur Ebony Austin, attorney and pharmaceutical executive Phillandas Thompson, and human resources executive Tosin Adesanya. The idea for the restaurant grew out of a personal health crisis: Brown experienced a near-death health scare that pushed him to overhaul his diet and adopt a vegan, gluten-free lifestyle. As he searched for restaurants in Atlanta that could support those dietary needs, he found few options that combined genuine flavor with the health standards he was looking for, which sparked the idea for Stir House. It took roughly four years for the concept to go from idea to reality, with Austin and Thompson eventually joining as co-owners to help bring the vision to life. Together the founders describe their goal as building a restaurant that blends community and healthy eating, using quality, non-GMO ingredients to prove that vegan and gluten-free food can be satisfying and flavorful. The result is a Black-owned restaurant in downtown Atlanta that has been described locally as bringing the first vegan and gluten-free stir fry concept to the Southeast.
