A Cuban restaurant on Southwest 8th Street serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts from what it describes as the most extensive Cuban menu in Miami, with a French-inspired dining room. La Ventanita, the walk-up coffee window known for cafecito, doubles as a gathering spot for conversation in the Cuban community. An on-site bakery added in 1998 makes pastries, breads and desserts from scratch daily. The restaurant also ships its Cuban sandwiches nationwide and operates Cafe Versailles locations in Concourse D at Miami International Airport.

Opened in 1971 and soon became a gathering place and unofficial town square for Miami's Cuban exiles, drawing politicians, celebrities and news media seeking community commentary. The Cuban family-owned and operated restaurant has served Cuban cuisine and culture for over five decades. It marked its 50th anniversary by partnering with HistoryMiami Museum and EXILE Books to collect patrons' photos, stories and memories.
