About WORTHWHILE

An independent women's clothing shop carrying "slow fashion" labels from around the world, chosen for quality, longevity, and ethical production. The two stories of retail space hold clothing, accessories such as bags, shoes, jewelry, hats and sunglasses, plus home and body fragrance, soaps, and utilitarian objects. Designers stocked include Guidi of Tuscany, Elena Dawson, John Alexander Skelton, Arts & Science, Toogood, Uma Wang, Perfumer H, and Astier de Villatte. Much of the merchandise is handmade or produced in small, limited batches by artisan studios.

Robben Richards opened Worthwhile in 1993 at its original location on lower King Street. In 2022, after 29 years on King, the shop moved to a light-filled two-story house on a quiet corner a few blocks away.
