Bar & grill in Denison, TX
Picture a 6,600-square-foot patio spread beneath old Texas live oaks, string lights overhead, and a fire pit crackling while a band tunes up on a Wednesday night. That is 1880 Ice House. The bar pours ice-cold beer, wine, and classic cocktails with a Texas heat twist, while small-plate tastings come courtesy of local chef Jason Shepard and his Knife & Whisk food truck parked out back.
Housed in a piece of Historic Downtown Denison, the building carries the story of the town's old ice-making trade right in its name. What was once utilitarian infrastructure for a Texoma railroad town is now a beer garden and spirits parlor where neighbors gather for live music beneath the oaks.
