A & P Specialties was established in 1985 by founder and owner Alan Blanchard at its current location on SE 82nd Avenue in Portland. Alan's automotive career began in 1972, when he started as an apprentice technician at Gateway Porsche/Audi. He developed his expertise through hands-on training and classes provided through Riviera Motors Wholesale, the Porsche and Audi distributor. After more than a decade of industry experience, Alan opened A & P Specialties in 1985. The business has remained at the same location and has grown into a specialized European repair facility employing three full-time technicians and a service manager. Alan continues to work with the team and shares his knowledge, particularly regarding classic Porsche vehicles.
