About Adventurer's Coffee Co.

A café and coffee roastery in Calera serving made-to-order espresso and coffee drinks alongside sandwiches, lunch items and pastries. Beans are roasted in house and sold in bags both at the shop and shipped online, with merch and an online store as well. The shop's identity draws on gaming, tabletop, reading and hiking culture, and it aims to be a spot for working, studying or meeting friends.

The founders worked together at a corporate job and were fed up with the stale, scorched coffee served there, so they bought an air popcorn popper and a pound of green beans and began roasting their own. The idea grew over the following months into a company reflecting their interests as gamers, nerds, readers, campers and hikers, and the name arrived while watching Bilbo Baggins declare he was going on an adventure. Adventurer's Coffee Co. opened on October 17th, 2019, and has served Calera and the surrounding area since, shipping bagged coffee beyond Alabama.
