Aladdin's Eatery traces its roots to Fady Chamoun, who immigrated to the United States from Lebanon in 1972 with a dream of introducing Americans to authentic Lebanese cuisine. In 1994 he and his wife Sally opened the first Aladdin's Eatery in Lakewood, Ohio, guided by Fady's conviction that food is a philosophy worth sharing rather than just a meal to be served. The concept quickly resonated, expanding to Cleveland Heights and eventually growing into a chain of more than 30 locations across four states, including this Raleigh restaurant. The menu reflects Lebanon's Mediterranean heritage, built around fresh herbs and spices instead of heavy sauces, and featuring imported extra virgin olive oil in the homemade sauces and salad dressings. Dishes rely on staple Mediterranean ingredients such as olive oil, nuts, vegetables, yogurt, and lean meats, brightened with mint, parsley, oregano, and garlic. The kitchen accommodates a wide range of dietary needs, offering more than 40 vegetarian dishes, 30 vegan options, and 40 gluten-free selections, along with 40 antibiotic-free meat and chicken dishes, all made without sulfites or artificial preservatives.
