About Auto Hobby Shop
A self-service and full-service auto facility on base with more than 20 work bays, five vehicle lifts including two drive-on lifts, and stalls equipped with tool boxes, workbenches, lighted work areas and air, plus specialty tools available from a tool crib. DIY customers can handle their own tire replacement and balancing with a training certificate, and staff mechanics take appointments for oil changes, tire rotation, alignments, brake work, suspension, check engine light and air conditioning diagnostics, with customers supplying parts. Classes cover basic auto safety, beginner car care and use of the tire changing and balancing machines, and lawn mower tune-ups are offered. A vehicle resale lot across the street rents monthly space for selling cars, trucks, motorcycles, RVs and boats, and a Kittyhawk Car Wash is planned.
