Joseph J. Bergacs graduated from Purdue University and DePaul University College of Law and was admitted to practice in Indiana in 2002. He developed his practice at Baker & Bergacs Law Office under the late William G. Baker (1942-2009), which is now Bergacs Law Office, and has served New Castle and Henry County for over 20 years, including as Henry County Prosecutor. He has also served as Henry County Attorney and as attorney for the New Castle Community School Corporation, the Henry County Solid Waste Management District, and the towns of Straughn and Sulphur Springs. He is admitted before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana and is a past Treasurer and President of the Henry County Bar Association.
