About Blackbird Acupuncture Clinic

Acupuncture services from practitioner Carrie, including initial and return acupuncture sessions, cupping, microneedling, and MeiZen cosmetic acupuncture. The clinic operates out of the lower level of Fringe Aveda Salon in Rice Lake, with its own parking lot and an informal walk-in entrance where clients can help themselves to snacks, water, or hot tea while waiting. Treatments are organized around four themes: release, relax, unwind, and revive.

The clinic is named after the founder's grandfather, who spent summers with the family at their cabin on Lake Vermillion in Northern Minnesota and woke the grandchildren each morning by cawing like a crow outside their windows. After he passed away in 2015, the family began noticing crows and blackbirds at significant moments and took them as a sign he was still nearby. An earlier working name, Crows Call Acupuncture Clinic, was set aside because it sounded too ominous spoken aloud, and Blackbird was chosen instead to carry his warmth and humor into the practice.
