A criminal defense practice representing clients in state, federal, city and mayor's courts across Ohio, with much of its state work in Hamilton and Butler Counties. Attorney Kara Costner Blackney is known for aggressive pretrial motion practice that has led to dismissals, and has tried cases before judges and juries. Kara Costner Blackney graduated from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2010 and was admitted to practice in Ohio the same year, working first with the Montgomery County Juvenile Court on dependency and delinquency cases. She joined the Hamilton County Public Defender's office in October 2014, spending five years in the Guardian ad Litem division before moving to the municipal division in 2019 to handle criminal matters, and reports being undefeated before the First District Court of Appeals. After joining the Law Office of Arenstein and Gallagher in May 2021, she founded Blackney Law LLC on July 1, 2024.
