About Body Jam Essentials
A Dallas self-care studio offering monthly workshops and events including sound baths, Sunday Soul Flow, Qigong, Poetic Conversations, and the Intention Body Butter Workshop, where participants move through breathwork and grounding meditation, a self-love discussion, and then blend their own affirmation-infused body butter from scented oils. The studio also sells herbal skincare and gift cards, and rents the space for private and corporate events. Practices are trauma-informed and somatic, incorporating energy healing and sound therapy with a stated focus on radical self-care within the Black community.
Founded by Jamelia, a trauma-informed somatic healing practitioner and integrative Reiki master teacher with advanced training in trauma, PTSD, and dissociation under Dr. Ruth Lanius. She has guided more than 2,500 people through holistic wellness workshops and logged over 1,000 hours facilitating group sessions. Her work has been featured on OWN, NBC, The Dallas Weekly, Canva, and The Dallas Rebel.
