Bowman Legal Services, PLLC is a boutique law firm in Winston-Salem, North Carolina founded and led by Attorney Lena E.E. Bowman. A Winston-Salem native and Parkland High School graduate who competed in volleyball, basketball, and track and field, Bowman went on to earn her undergraduate degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Western Carolina University on a track and field scholarship, then her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law in Durham. The firm concentrates on three practice areas: criminal law, including general misdemeanor charges, juvenile delinquency matters, probation violations, and infractions; civil litigation, including domestic violence protection orders, abuse/neglect/dependency hearings, name changes, and guardianship proceedings; and family law, covering child custody and support, divorce, separation agreements, prenuptial and antenuptial agreements, spousal support, and equitable distribution. Attorney Bowman works with each client individually to tailor representation to their specific circumstances rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, and she has direct experience handling matters ranging from custody disputes to low-level felony criminal cases. The firm is based in the Winston Tower at 301 N. Main St., Suite 2433, in downtown Winston-Salem. Outside her law practice, Bowman coaches volleyball and track and field at her alma mater, Parkland High School, maintaining a continued connection to the local community she grew up in. The firm's stated aim is to give clients facing difficult legal circumstances, such as divorce, custody battles, or protective order proceedings, a compassionate and dedicated advocate during what are often some of the most stressful periods of their lives.
