About Brown Estate
Brown Estate is a family estate winery in Napa Valley producing Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Merlot, Chardonnay, rosé and blends from grapes grown on its own land. The Brown Downtown Napa tasting room on First Street is open to the public, while the Saint Helena production facility hosts limited hospitality by appointment. Three wine club tiers offer allocations, purchase discounts and complimentary tastings. Private events and wholesale are available.
Brown Estate began in 1980, when the founders' parents bought an abandoned ranch in the eastern hills of Napa Valley, rehabilitated it and planted wine grapes, which the family farmed and sold to local winemakers for a decade. The siblings began making their own wine in 1995 and established the Brown Estate label in 1996 with Brown Zin. The Brown Downtown tasting room opened in 2017; the House of Brown sister label followed in 2018.
