About Caribbean Kicker

Caribbean Kicker started as a food truck in 2019 and has since fired up a full kitchen on North Smithfield Road in Knightdale. It has served the Triangle for over five years — events, festivals and neighbourhoods before the restaurant — and calls itself a soulful fusion kitchen: Caribbean spices and island heat crossed with comfort food. The menu is built around jerk. Bowls come over rice with a veggie and house-made Yum Sauce: jerk chicken $13, island shrimp $14, jerk chicken and shrimp $16, seared salmon $17, and The Works — chicken, shrimp and steak — at $17. The Island Soul Veggie Bowl is plant-based, sweet yams, sautéed cabbage, fire-grilled peppers and seasoned corn over cilantro lime rice, at $13. Any bowl becomes a platter with two sides for $7. Their handrolled eggrolls are $6 each in Philly cheesesteak, jerk chicken or shrimp, with a two-eggroll platter at $15. Quesadillas run $13 to $16, smash burgers $14 to $16 with fries and a drink, and six wings come at $14 with fries in jerk, lemon pepper, brown sugar BBQ or hot honey lemon pepper. Fridays are Oxtail Friday: a bowl at $22, a platter with rice and two premium sides at $32. Sides are $4 to $5, desserts include banana pudding and peach cobbler eggrolls, and the homemade speciality lemonades come in strawberry, peach and blueberry raspberry. Order for pickup direct through their site with no fee, or for delivery through DoorDash.
