About Casa Locé
Casa Locé is a 20-acre private vineyard estate in Ojai. The estate pours five-wine guided tastings, hosts farm-to-table communal dinners on Friday and Saturday evenings, and runs winemaker dinners limited to thirty guests. Wines are estate-grown, with fewer than 2,000 cases a year, released through a three-tier Allocation rather than a wine club. Guests can also book the main house, guest casita or full estate buyout.
Casa Locé is led by Dr. Bill Releford, DPM, a podiatric surgeon with more than 36 years in amputation prevention and health equity. Its founding vintage was 2022. The site describes it as the only Black-owned winery in Ojai, built in the shade of Big Mama, an ancient valley oak estimated at 300 to 500 years old.
