Owner Catresse Freeman is a licensed esthetician with double certifications in microshading and blood pathogens training.

Founder Catresse "Cat" Freeman was born in Philadelphia and raised in Montgomery County, and entered the beauty industry in high school when she was hired by Ulta Beauty. After practicing on herself, family and friends, she launched CatFace Makeup Artistry LLC in 2014, naming it after her own first name. She also holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.
