Martin Doorhy, a former prosecutor with 28 years of experience, has handled more than 2,000 criminal cases including over 300 trials, plus 600 DUIs, 300 license hearings, and over 200 CDL driver cases. Roughly 70 percent of his criminal and DUI work is in the Bridgeview and Markham courthouses, where he appears about three days a week. Doorhy earned his bachelor's degree summa cum laude and an M.A. at DePaul University before attending Loyola University School of Law in Chicago, where he served on the National Mock Trial Team and clerked for the Cook County State's Attorney's Office. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1987 and spent five years as a JAG officer, prosecuting more than forty courts-martial and discharge board cases as Chief of Military Justice at two bases. He returned to the Chicago area in 1992 and joined The Law Offices of Thomas W. Lynch in Hickory Hills, limiting his practice to criminal defense and traffic work. He also taught Constitutional Law and the History of the U.S. Supreme Court as an adjunct professor at DePaul for seven years.
