A Nigerian restaurant and lounge in Old City serving dishes such as jollof rice, efo riro, egusi with pounded yam, ayamase with ofada rice, moi moi, pepper soup, peppered snail and puff puff, alongside an African beverage list that includes palm wine. Vegetarian options are available. Beyond dine-in, the restaurant takes reservations, offers online ordering, hosts private parties and special occasions, and runs catering packages for birthdays, holiday and corporate events and weddings.
Chef Aisha grew up in Potiskum, Nigeria, in a family whose recipes and restaurant work shaped her path, and she spent roughly three decades working in food and catering weddings, birthdays and social gatherings. She first established Eatwell in Irvington, New Jersey, before deciding to expand. She brought the restaurant to Philadelphia to serve Nigerian cuisine rooted in her family traditions.
