About Fat Heads Brewery & Saloon - North Olmsted, OH
The North Olmsted location is Fat Head's original brewpub, serving house-brewed beer alongside oversized sandwiches and smoked, fall-off-the-bone chicken wings. The beer lineup centers on award-winning IPAs such as Head Hunter and its hazy version, plus Bumble Berry honey blueberry ale, German styles including Goggle Fogger Hefe-Weizen and Alpenglow Weizenbock, and seasonal releases. The brewery has taken gold at both the World Beer Cup and the Great American Beer Festival, and also produces Buckeye Brewing Company Light lager and the non-alcoholic Excursion Brewing Company line. The site notes lunch service daily and space that can be booked for gatherings.
Glenn and Michelle Benigni opened a craft beer-focused restaurant in Pittsburgh's South Side in 1992, known for large sandwiches and smoked wings. In 2009 they joined with master brewer Matt Cole to open the flagship Fat Head's brewpub in North Olmsted, Ohio. A production brewery followed in 2012, a larger brewery with a 250-person beer hall in 2018, and a second brewpub in Canton the same year. New brands Buckeye Brewing Company Light and non-alcoholic Excursion Brewing Company launched in 2026.
