A healthy-hair salon in the heart of RTP working across natural, relaxed and chemical-free hair, with the stated aim of getting a client’s hair to whatever goal they set for it rather than pushing one look. Walk-ins are welcome and appointments can be booked online. The salon also sells Design Essentials and African Pride at-home ranges, shipped direct. Open Monday to Wednesday 9:30am–5pm, Thursday and Friday 9:30am–6pm, Saturday 8am–2pm. Serves Durham, Raleigh, Chapel Hill and the surrounding area from Suite 402 at 1725 Carpenter Fletcher Road. The three words on the front of the site are the promise: punctuality, service, value.
Flash and Flare Healthy Hair Salon has worked out of Suite 402 on Carpenter Fletcher Road in Durham since at least 2017, in the middle of Research Triangle Park. Stylist Marlena Roseboro Johnson, a Dudley Beauty System graduate, has been in the industry since 2001, and the salon is built around the idea in its own name — hair health first, whether a client wears it natural, relaxed or chemical-free.
