About Freedom Acres Ranch
Freedom Acres Ranch is a veteran-owned, family-operated ranch in Yoder, Colorado, founded in 2020 on the belief that "Farmers Save Lives." The family raises grass-fed, free-range beef, pork, chicken and turkey and sells it through its farm store. The ranch donates 5% of every sale to fight food insecurity, accepts EBT and welcomes visitors, volunteers and retreat guests.
Freedom Acres Ranch began after Hurricane Harvey displaced the family and left them without access to food. They vowed never to be without again, secured land, grew their own produce and raised animals. In 2020, as the pandemic exposed gaps in the food supply, they founded the ranch to fight food insecurity, delivering fresh meat to low-income neighborhoods and donating 5% of every sale.
