About Gabor Farms

Gabor Farms is a veteran-owned, Black-Owned family farm in Rockingham, North Carolina. It grows gourmet mushrooms in temperature-controlled shipping-container grow rooms, plus field and tunnel vegetables, and supplies fresh, dried and powdered mushrooms and spawn. Customers can buy at winter farmers markets in Morrisville and Cary, order delivery or shipping, or join the farm's CSA boxes.

Clarence and Tanya DuBois inherited three acres in Rockingham in 2012 from the estate of Clarence's grandfather, Oscar Quick, who bought the land in the 1970s. With no farming experience, they cleared the land and took classes, then launched Gabor Farms in 2018. It has since grown gourmet mushrooms in shipping-container grow rooms and joined the Sandhills Mushroom Growers Co-op.
