About Grassway Organics

A family-run organic farm selling 100% grass-fed beef, pasture-raised chicken, turkey, eggs, and pork, plus local cheese, honey, and dry goods through an on-farm store and a webstore that ships across most of the US. About 40 A2/A2 Jersey cows are milked and moved four times a day across 210 acres of pasture under managed rotational grazing, with no grain fed and no injections given to the animals; 600 laying hens follow the cows in mobile coops three days behind. Pork comes from Golden Bear Farm in Kiel, WI, raised without corn, soy, GMOs, antibiotics, or hormones and processed without nitrates or MSG. From May through September the farm hosts Pizza on the Farm with wood-fired pizza, live music, and outdoor seating, and free farm tours run Saturdays at 1pm.

Chaz and Megan Self took over Grassway Organics on March 21st, 2016. Neither grew up on a farm, but both wanted to raise their three sons \u2014 Otik, Oscoda, and Xasion \u2014 in farming, and committed from the start to organic, grazing-based methods rather than inherited practice.
