Franchised discount auto repair with 14 shops across west Florida, handling brakes, air conditioning, check engine diagnostics, batteries, starters and alternators, plus routine maintenance such as oil changes, tune-ups, belts and hoses, filters, lights and wipers. Auto air conditioning is a longtime specialty and at one point made up about half of annual service volume. Customers mention a bring-your-own-parts option, a Car Care Club card, phone coupons, a nationwide warranty, and fleet servicing. Each location is independently owned and operated by a franchisee, and the company runs community programs including free Car Care Clinics, a Back 2 School supply drive and a Toys for Tots drive.

The company traces back to 1969, when founder Allyn Ayers opened a shop in Orlando calibrating speedometers; customer demand for more services led to the creation of Ice Cold Air and a focus on automotive air conditioning. Operations moved to Clearwater in 1977, additional locations followed, and the shops were converted to franchises in 1993 so each site would have an owner-operator on the premises. Growth in 2000 brought the current name, Ice Cold Air Discount Auto Repair. Ashley Butler, a Tampa native and USF graduate, bought her first location in 2006, built Butler Automotive Management for fleet work, and acquired the company in January 2023, becoming franchisor and merging the fleet business into Ice Cold Air.
