About Intentional Simplicity LLC

A creative psychology practice combining psychology, art, and design across three areas: arts-based consulting for leaders and organizations (graphic and creative direction, narrative maps, infographics, arts-based research), therapeutic wellness for individuals, couples, and groups including guided creative self-therapy PDFs and employee assistance partnerships, and workplace wellbeing work such as sanctuary-inspired office design and organizational emotional intelligence frameworks. The approach draws on African-centered psychology, ancestral wisdom, and decolonized methods, with stated focus on BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and neurodiverse creatives. Visual tools — illustrations, sketch notes, infographics — are used to make complex psychological experiences legible. An online shop carries workbooks, journals, sketch notes, and art prints.

Founded by Sarafina Arthur-Williams, who describes beginning the work as an attempt to understand herself in environments that did not reflect her thoughts or experiences. Her background spans studies in Fine Arts and Psychology with training in Art Therapy, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, and Transformative Social Change, alongside ongoing study in mindfulness, meditation, breathwork, and psychedelic integration, and symbolic systems such as tarot and astrology. She writes as a Ghanaian American, neurodiverse, queer woman whose lived experience shaped how she applies that training, moving the focus away from fixing people toward understanding how they think and how their environments shape them. She is also the author of the poetry and art book 'all that heals.'
