The Portsmouth-based personal injury practice of William Kass has merged into Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers, which handles injury cases exclusively: car and truck accidents, motorcycle and pedestrian injuries, premises liability, wrongful death, railroad accidents, and catastrophic injury. The combined firm serves Hampton Roads and the Eastern Shore with meeting locations across the region, and attorneys will meet clients at home or in the hospital. Consultations are free, and the firm publishes books, podcasts, and other free accident-related resources.
Kass Law Firm built its personal injury practice in Portsmouth and in a 2025 announcement joined Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers, with William Kass moving to the combined team and existing Kass clients transitioning over. Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers was founded by John Cooper and Jim Hurley, and has grown from two lawyers and a handful of staff to ten lawyers and nearly 50 employees.
