David Bliven graduated with honors from Syracuse University in 1993 and from New York Law School in 1997, ranking in the top 15% of his class. After a year in private practice doing mostly matrimonial work, he spent nearly three years as a Family Court Prosecutor with the NYC Administration for Children's Services, handling child support, child abuse and neglect, and foster care cases. He opened the present practice in 2000 and, with rare exceptions, has limited it to matrimonial and family law ever since.
