About Long's Christian Bookstore
A Christian bookstore inside the Worship Center on the campus of First Baptist Church of Orlando, carrying Bibles, Christian living books, devotionals, commentaries and Bible studies. Staff walk customers through a guided process for choosing a Bible, covering translation, print size, standard versus study editions, leather type, color and thumb indexing. Custom imprinting and engraving is available on most books and journals, including bulk orders such as church pew Bibles, school Bibles and graduation Bibles. The store also stocks church supplies — communion cups and trays, communion bread, fellowship cups, offering envelopes, clergy shirts and robes, and candles for Christmas services — plus Kerusso t-shirts, greeting cards and jewelry.
Founded in 1961 by Georgia and William Long, who wanted a bookstore that would help Christians grow in their faith and provide materials for sharing the gospel. Their son Rodger Long later took over and expanded the business to multiple locations. The family-owned store has since consolidated to a single location on the First Baptist Church of Orlando campus and describes itself as the oldest Christian bookstore in Orlando, serving Central Florida for over 60 years.
