Now operating as The Doza Group, this business-only accounting firm handles monthly and daily bookkeeping, payroll, tax filing and compliance, business formation, and fractional CFO advisory covering tax strategy, KPI analysis, budgeting, and cash flow planning. Its model requires all consulting and tax clients to also use the firm for bookkeeping, so advice is based on current, verified financials rather than year-end estimates. Service packages range from a starter tier with financial statements by the 25th and advisory on request to a scale tier with statements by the 10th, monthly advisory, and same-day support. Onboarding includes a discovery call, two planning meetings, and a three-to-six-month build-out to clean up books and implement systems; the team includes Spanish-speaking accountants and holds QuickBooks ProAdvisor and NACPB bookkeeping and payroll certifications.

Nacho Mendoza founded the firm in 2013 with his wife and business partner Patricia Mendoza. He had previously built, scaled, and sold two companies — a commercial kitchen cleaning business and a commercial refrigeration, plumbing, and HVAC business — then earned a Finance degree at UTSA and spent a decade as a business banker before returning to school for an accounting degree. Seeing that many business owners got little proactive guidance from their accountants, he built a firm focused on year-round strategy and relationships. Formerly Mendoza & Associates LLC, the practice rebranded as The Doza Group with the same team.
