About Mesquite Creek Taxidermy Studio
A South Texas taxidermy studio focused on whitetail deer mounts, offering a range of standard poses plus custom work arranged through in-person consultation. The shop states that customer work is held to the same standards as its competition pieces. Owner James Newport has competed at state, national, and world levels, with placements including 2nd and 3rd in the World, North American Champion, two national titles, and nine state titles; staff taxidermist Mark Hernandez is a 2019 National Champion and multiple-time Texas and Louisiana state champion.
