About Moonshine Detailing
Mobile and drop-off detailing for cars, trucks, SUVs, boats, RVs, motorcycles, and aircraft, with a fully equipped van that travels across the Lowcountry or a Mount Pleasant shop for drop-offs. Services include full luxury details, interior deep cleaning, exterior wash and wax, multi-stage paint correction, and ceramic coatings. Work is done by hand and owner-operated by Jacob, with an emphasis on taking the time a job needs rather than turning vehicles quickly. Service areas include Mount Pleasant, Charleston, Daniel Island, Summerville, James Island, West Ashley, North Charleston, and Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island.
Owner Jacob Dye is a Charleston local who started washing, waxing, and coating his own Toyota at 15 and credits the first Fast and Furious film with sparking his interest in cars. After high school he worked at a high-end local detail shop, learning color correction, interior shampooing, headlight restoration, water quality, and products. He left the industry for a time, then returned and built out a mobile detailing van with the equipment and products he uses today.
