Nubiance Salon & Spa is a multicultural hair salon and spa located at Chestshire Square, next door to Publix, in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, Georgia. With more than 18 years in operation, the salon has built a reputation for promoting health and beauty as, in its own words, "a woman's right to claim." The salon offers a wide menu of hair services, including custom hair design, relaxers, glamour cuts, corrective and professional color, foiled highlights, sew-in weaves and infusions, wigs, Keratin Smoothing Treatments, thinning hair treatments, natural presses, loc starting, loc grooming, and loc restoration. It also provides spa and esthetician services such as acne, anti-aging, and hydrating facials, ultrasonic skin scrubbing, microdermabrasion, chemical peels (Glycolic, Jessner's, Lactic, and Salicylic), brow waxing and threading, bikini, Brazilian, and French waxing, and chair massages. Barber services are available for men and children, including razor lines, cuts, texturizers, and facial and brow tinting and shaves, and the cosmetics menu includes glamour and wedding makeup along with Xtreme lash extensions. Nubiance works with all hair types and textures, Types I through VIII, offering natural hair silk presses, precision cuts, and styling for both short and long hair, with wedding packages available upon request. The salon has been recognized with the Color Award in 2012 and 2013 and was voted Best of Atlanta by the Atlanta Tribune in 2009, 2012, 2013, and 2014.
Nubiance Salon & Spa is owned by Master Hairstylist and Color Specialist Vicki Pouncie, who brings 14 years of professional experience in hairstyling and hair coloring to the salon she owns and operates in Atlanta with her husband, Procter Pouncie. Vicki describes a deep passion for hairstyling and coloring, and treats each client as a unique individual, aiming to create looks that intensify each person's natural essence, image, and personal style. She says one of the most gratifying parts of her work is hearing clients express genuine appreciation for the styles, color, and treatments she provides, noting that their trust and confidence give her the opportunity to customize a total look suited to their lifestyle. Vicki's goal for every client, from the moment they enter the salon's glass doors until they leave her chair, is not just satisfaction with a new hairstyle, but a complete transformation that positively elevates mind, body, and soul while enhancing their overall appearance. Under her leadership, Nubiance has grown into a state-of-the-art salon serving women of all ages and backgrounds, and has been honored multiple times by the Atlanta Tribune as one of the city's best.
