About Pivotal Technique Barbershop

Barbering for all hair types, including straight, curly, thick, balding and thinning hair, with corrections available for cuts done elsewhere. The service list covers Caesars, tapers, blow outs, comb over fades, dreadlock cuts and dreadlock tapers, undercuts, low and high fades, sunbursts, razor fades, and razor line ups for hair and beards. Hot towel treatment and razor line ups are available on request, and military discounts are offered.

The shop is run by Jerry Parker, a Virginia Beach native and master barber. He first cut his own hair in 2003 as a seventh grader using an old pair of his father's clippers, then moved on to cutting for friends, his uncle, and the neighborhood. In January 2009, while still a high school senior, an introduction through his uncle led him to his first shop, where he set out to become a master barber. He has since worked as a professional barber for over ten years.
