About Promise Neighborhoods of the Lehigh Valley
A grassroots community organization led and staffed by neighborhood residents, describing itself as Black-led, anti-racist, woman-centered and liberation-based. Programs include Zero Youth Violence, Leadership Without Limits, Health Equity, Community Wellness, reentry support, and a Training Institute, alongside research and reports, documentaries, events and volunteer opportunities. The group serves neighborhoods from Allentown to Bethlehem and Easton, focusing on children's success from cradle to career and on delivering public health messaging through trusted community messengers. Residents themselves act as the designers, drivers and researchers behind the programming.
