Marvin Spicer is the owner-operator and senior service technician of RM Services and Sales, with 25 years of experience in the restaurant and service industry. At 19, he moved to Asheville, NC to pursue culinary arts at AB Tech Culinary School, later working in a number of restaurants and building his resume as a Sous Chef and Executive Chef. He eventually moved to Wilmington to join the Atlantic Quest Group, working with several of the area's high-end restaurants. While working three jobs and completing the HVAC Refrigeration Program at Cape Fear Community College, Marvin began extending his services into maintaining and servicing commercial kitchen equipment. In 1992 he pursued his dream of entrepreneurship and opened RM Services. With hard work and the support of his family, the business grew, and in 2008 it became RM Services and Sales Inc., allowing customers to buy commercial equipment and accessories while also receiving maintenance and service. In 2020, Marvin expanded again, adding equipment rentals, a food service mobile supply store, and plans for commissary prep kitchens. He has built the company around integrity and a focus on customers' present and future needs, with an eye toward investing in the success of others and the enrichment of the community.
