About Reed's Tire Center #1, Inc.
A tire and full-service repair shop stocking what it describes as the largest tire inventory in Page County, including Michelin, Firestone, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal, Continental, Cooper, and Titan and BKT agricultural tires. Beyond passenger and light truck tires, it carries medium and large commercial and OTR tires and provides road service plus on-site farm tire replacement and repair. Shop work covers brakes, oil changes, batteries, belts and hoses, radiators, shocks and struts, front end, electrical systems, and diesel engine repair. Other specialties include current wheel alignment technology, custom exhaust, and motor and transmission removal and replacement.
The business traces back to Reverend Reed, who left it in 1980, when a 20-year-old Dale became a partner with his uncle Truman Reed and the shop was renamed Reed's Tire Service Center. Dale became sole owner and operator in 1986, and the company was incorporated as Reed's Tire Center #1, Inc. in 2002. On July 1, 2018, Mike and Stacy Mason took over; Stacy had worked at the shop for many years and Mike, a master mechanic, joined the crew in April 2018. The site notes the shop marking its 50th year in business and serving Stanley, Luray, Elkton and surrounding areas.
