After practicing criminal law and personal injury law, she founded Richberg Law as its managing partner. Shayla Richberg founded Richberg Law after building experience in criminal law and personal injury practice, drawing on a path that began long before law school. A Greensboro, North Carolina native who now calls Durham home, she earned her undergraduate degree from UNC Chapel Hill and served as an AmeriCorps VISTA in Leavenworth, Kansas, coordinating service-learning initiatives focused on poverty alleviation before pursuing her law degree. She graduated at the top of her class from North Carolina Central University's School of Law, where clinical work in foreclosure defense and civil litigation earned her the North Carolina Bar's Pro Bono Certificate for approximately 500 hours of service. That foundation in community-oriented advocacy carried into her practice, guided by her firm's mission, Restoring Visions and Protecting Legacies.
