About Simply Divine Academy
Simply Divine Academy trains barbers, cosmetologists, estheticians and nail technicians in Monrovia and Altadena. Programs run through classroom instruction plus hands-on practice on a student clinic floor, with multiple classrooms and training spaces. An apprenticeship track is also offered. The barbering course covers 1,000 clock hours of technical instruction and practical operations, including barber law and business management. Advisors meet prospective students for a campus tour and review grants, loans and payment plans.
Keshia Darden started the Simply Divine brand with a hair salon in 1992. Over 30 years she opened a hair salon, barbershop, multiple beauty supply stores, an academy and an apprenticeship program. The Simply Divine Academy was established in 2013.
