Coffee shop in Crown Point, IN
A coffee house and cafe serving coffee, teas, and food, with a lineup of signature lattes including the Cookie Dough, Almond Joy, Lucky Goat (chocolate, hazelnut, sea salt, cinnamon), Chunky Monkey, S'more, and Banana Foster, available hot or iced. The cafe is built around a welcoming community space with local music and eclectic art, and customers also mention menu items like the Pepperoncini sandwich and Beach Waves drink. Ordering is available in-house or through DoorDash, with additional locations in Highland, Cedar Lake, and Hobart.
The business began as Tiffany's Tea Room, serving exotic teas and hand-crafted sandwiches, and rebranded as Sip Coffee House after adding coffee during the coffee boom. Founder Rhonda Bloch, an East Chicago native who grew up in the service industry, owns the Highland and Hobart locations. Alec, who grew up in Crown Point and worked at the Sip for five years before buying in, owns the Crown Point and Cedar Lake shops; he was headed to med school before returning to his goal of owning a coffee shop.
