Bakery in Orlando, FL
An artisan bakery turning out scratch-made goods daily with premium ingredients, with pies a particular strength — owner Evette's award-winning recipes include an Orchard Fresh Apple Pie that took a Blue Ribbon at the National Pie Championships. Orders are taken only in person or by phone during business hours; email orders are not accepted.
The bakery is named for Evette's mother, nicknamed 'Honey' as a child for her sweet nature and later known as 'Sister Honey' in her church community. Evette grew up in her mother's kitchen, poring over cookbooks and watching The French Chef and The Galloping Gourmet, and carried that into national competition, winning a Blue Ribbon at the 2006 National Pie Championships and further ribbons since. She has been featured on the Food Network, in Family Circle's Hometown Cooking Cookbook and the American Pie Council's America's Best Pies, and served on the Crisco Pie Tips Hotline panel. Sister Honey's has operated at its East Michigan Street location in Orlando since July 2012.
