About Strategy and Soul Bookstore

Strategy and Soul Bookstore is a project of the Labor Community Strategy Center, a Los Angeles-based organization that describes itself as "a Think Tank/Act Tank for regional, national and international movement building, founded in 1989 and based in the 10 million-person world city of Los Angeles." The Strategy Center's broader work centers on communities that have historically faced systemic inequality, with stated focus areas including civil rights, environmental justice, public health, global warming, and the criminal legal system, organized largely through working-class communities of color.
