About Styles 2 Inspire

A natural hair care salon offering creative styles, locs, children's hair, and wedding and special-event styling, serving clients of all hair textures. Barbering and clipper work are also available. The salon emphasizes teaching clients how to attain and maintain healthy hair and scalp between appointments, and uses products it says promote healthy hair growth, which clients can purchase.

Owner Lizette Wright-Pearson decided at age 10 to become a hairstylist and began working at Lady Shafeeque's Hair Salon at 15, later earning braiding, barber, and cosmetology licenses. She opened Styles 2 Inspire on September 21, 2012, built around the idea of pairing beautiful styles with client education. She won her first competition in 2008 for Most Creative Up Dos, has been featured in Black Hair Magazine, Bronner Brothers Fantasy Magazine, and Hype Hair Magazine, and became a Bronner Brothers platform artist at 23 and later a Senior Educator, teaching classes and shows across several states and the Bahamas. The team also includes barberstylist Christopher Pearson and stylist Shannon Scott.
