About Tampa Bay Food Trucks

A food truck booking agency that matches events with trucks from a network of more than 170 across Tampa Bay, Orlando and Central Florida. Services include catering for corporate lunches, weddings, birthdays, fundraisers, festivals and brand activations, plus recurring truck scheduling for apartment complexes and workplaces, and event coordination for clients who want help short of a full planner. Large events are handled by scaling up the number of trucks or narrowing menus for speed. The company also runs public food truck rallies, sells used food trucks and trailers, offers truck building and wrapping, a Mobile DJ Truck, and How To Start a Food Truck seminars and consulting.

The business began as Tampa Bay Food Truck Rally, a division of Tasting Tampa founded by Todd Sturtz, who brought in Michael Blasco as a partner; the two became known for throwing the first food truck rally in Tampa Bay. That first rally in Hyde Park featured nine trucks and drew more than 4,000 attendees, with every truck selling out. The venture later split from Tasting Tampa to focus on food trucks, and in late 2013 Blasco moved to it full time as Chief Eating Officer. The network has since grown from 15 trucks to more than 170 with a staff of nine.
